　8　犹大又对他父亲以色列说，你打发童子与我同去，我们就起身下去，好叫我们和你，并我们的妇人孩子，都得存活，不至于死。


Then　Judah　said　to　Israel　his　father；　〃Send　the　boy　along　with　me　and　we　will　go　at　once；　so　that　we　and　you　and　our　children　may　live　and　not　die。　　
　9　我为他作保。你可以从我手中追讨，我若不带他回来交在你面前，我情愿永远担罪。


I　myself　will　guarantee　his　safety；　you　can　hold　me　personally　responsible　for　him。　If　I　do　not　bring　him　back　to　you　and　set　him　here　before　you；　I　will　bear　the　blame　before　you　all　my　life。　　
　10　我们若没有耽搁，如今第二次都回来了。


As　it　is；　if　we　had　not　delayed；　we　could　have　gone　and　returned　twice。〃　　
　11　他们的父亲以色列说，若必须如此，你们就当这样行，可以将这地土产中最好的乳香，蜂蜜，香料，没药，榧子，杏仁都取一点，收在器具里，带下去送给那人作礼物，


Then　their　father　Israel　said　to　them；　〃If　it　must　be；　then　do　this：　Put　some　of　the　best　products　of　the　land　in　your　bags　and　take　them　down　to　the　man　as　a　gifta　little　balm　and　a　little　honey；　some　spices　and　myrrh；　some　pistachio　nuts　and　almonds。　　
　12　又要手里加倍地带银子，并将归还在你们口袋内的银子仍带在手里。那或者是错了。


Take　double　the　amount　of　silver　with　you；　for　you　must　return　the　silver　that　was　put　back　into　the　mouths　of　your　sacks。　Perhaps　it　was　a　mistake。　　
　13　也带着你们的兄弟，起身去见那人。


Take　your　brother　also　and　go　back　to　the　man　at　once。　　
　14　但愿全能的神使你们在那人面前蒙怜悯，释放你们的那弟兄和便雅悯回来。我若丧了儿子，就丧了吧。


And　may　God　Almighty　grant　you　mercy　before　the　man　so　that　he　will　let　your　other　brother　and　Benjamin　e　back　with　you。　As　for　me；　if　I　am　bereaved；　I　am　bereaved。〃　　
　15　于是，他们拿着那礼物，又手里加倍地带银子，并且带着便雅悯，起身下到埃及，站在约瑟面前。


So　the　men　took　the　gifts　and　double　the　amount　of　silver；　and　Benjamin　also。　They　hurried　down　to　Egypt　and　presented　themselves　to　Joseph。　　
　16　约瑟见便雅悯和他们同来，就对家宰说，将这些人领到屋里。要宰杀牲畜，预备筵席，因为晌午这些人同我吃饭。


When　Joseph　saw　Benjamin　with　them；　he　said　to　the　steward　of　his　house；　〃Take　these　men　to　my　house；　slaughter　an　animal　and　prepare　dinner；　they　are　to　eat　with　me　at　noon。〃　　
　17　家宰就遵着约瑟的命去行，领他们进约瑟的屋里。


The　man　did　as　Joseph　told　him　and　took　the　men　to　Joseph's　house。　　
　18　他们因为被领到约瑟的屋里，就害怕，说，领我们到这里来，必是因为头次归还在我们口袋里的银子，找我们的错缝，下手害我们，强取我们为奴仆，抢夺我们的驴。


Now　the　men　were　frightened　when　they　were　taken　to　his　house。　They　thought；　〃We　were　brought　here　because　of　the　silver　that　was　put　back　into　our　sacks　the　first　time。　He　wants　to　attack　us　and　overpower　us　and　seize　us　as　slaves　and　take　our　donkeys。〃　　
　19　他们就挨进约瑟的家宰，在屋门口和他说话，


So　they　went　up　to　Joseph's　steward　and　spoke　to　him　at　the　entrance　to　the　house。　　
　20　说，我主阿，我们头次下来实在是要籴粮。


〃Please；　sir；〃　they　said；　〃we　came　down　here　the　first　time　to　buy　food。　　
　21　后来到了住宿的地方，我们打开口袋，不料，各人的银子，分量足数，仍在各人的口袋内，现在我们手里又带回来了。


But　at　the　place　where　we　stopped　for　the　night　we　opened　our　sacks　and　each　of　us　found　his　silverthe　exact　weightin　the　mouth　of　his　sack。　So　we　have　brought　it　back　with　us。　　
　22　另外又带下银子来籴粮。不知道先前谁把银子放在我们的口袋里。


We　have　also　brought　additional　silver　with　us　to　buy　food。　We　don't　know　who　put　our　silver　in　our　sacks。〃　　
　23　家宰说，你们可以放心，不要害怕，是你们的神和你们父亲的神赐给你们财宝在你们的口袋里。你们的银子，我早已收了。他就把西缅带出来，交给他们。


〃It's　all　right；〃　he　said。　〃Don't　be　afraid。　Your　God；　the　God　of　your　father；　has　given　you　treasure　in　your　sacks；　I　received　your　silver。〃　Then　he　brought　Simeon　out　to　them。　　
　24　家宰就领他们进约瑟的屋里，给他们水洗脚，又给他们草料喂驴。


The　steward　took　the　men　into　Joseph's　house；　gave　them　water　to　wash　their　feet　and　provided　fodder　for　their　donkeys。　　
　25　他们就预备那礼物，等候约瑟晌午来，因为他们听见要在那里吃饭。


They　prepared　their　gifts　for　Joseph's　arrival　at　noon；　because　they　had　heard　that　they　were　to　eat　there。　　
　26　约瑟来到家里，他们就把手中的礼物拿进屋去给他，又俯伏在地，向他下拜。


When　Joseph　came　home；　they　presented　to　him　the　gifts　they　had　brought　into　the　house；　and　they　bowed　down　before　him　to　the　ground。　　
　27　约瑟问他们好，又问，你们的父亲就是你们所说的那老人家平安吗？他还在吗？


He　asked　them　how　they　were；　and　then　he　said；　〃How　is　your　aged　father　you　told　me　about？　Is　he　still　living？〃　　
　28　他们回答说，你仆人我们的父亲平安。他还在。于是他们低头下拜。


They　replied；　〃Your　servant　our　father　is　still　alive　and　well。〃　And　they　bowed　low　to　pay　him　honor。　　
　29　约瑟举目看见他同母的兄弟便雅悯，就说，你们向我所说那顶小的兄弟就是这位吗？又说，小儿阿，愿神赐恩给你。


As　he　looked　about　and　saw　his　brother　Benjamin；　his　own　mother's　son；　he　asked；　〃Is　this　your　youngest　brother；　the　one　you　told　me　about？〃　And　he　said；　〃God　be　gracious　to　you；　my　son。〃　　
　30　约瑟爱弟之情发动，就急忙寻找可哭之地，进入自己的屋里，哭了一场。


Deeply　moved　at　the　sight　of　his　brother；　Joseph　hurried　out　and　looked　for　a　place　to　weep。　He　went　into　his　private　room　and　wept　there。　　
　31　他洗了脸出来，勉强隐忍，吩咐人摆饭。


After　he　had　washed　his　face；　he　came　out　and；　controlling　himself；　said；　〃Serve　the　food。〃　　
　32　他们就为约瑟单摆了一席，为那些人又摆了一席，也为和约瑟同吃饭的埃及人另摆了一席，因为埃及人不可和希伯来人一同吃饭。那原是埃及人所厌恶的。


They　served　him　by　himself；　the　brothers　by　themselves；　and　the　Egyptians　who　ate　with　him　by　themselves；　because　Egyptians　could　not　eat　with　Hebrews；　for　that　is　detestable　to　Egyptians。　　
　33　约瑟使众弟兄在他面前排列坐席，都按着长幼的次序，众弟兄就彼此诧异。


The　men　had　been　seated　before　him　in　the　order　of　their　ages；　from　the　firstborn　to　the　youngest；　and　they　looked　at　each　other　in　astonishment。　　
　34　约瑟把他面前的食物分出来，送给他们。但便雅悯所得的比别人多五倍。他们就饮酒，和约瑟一同宴乐。


When　portions　were　served　to　them　from　Joseph's　table；　Benjamin's　portion　was　five　times　as　much　as　anyone　else's。　So　they　feasted　and　drank　freely　with　him。　　

1　约瑟吩咐家宰说，把粮食装满这些人的口袋，尽着他们的驴所能驮的，又把各人的银子放在各人的口袋里，


Now　Joseph　gave　these　instructions　to　the　steward　of　his　house：　〃Fill　the　men's　sacks　with　as　much　food　as　they　can　carry；　and　put　each　man's　silver　in　the　mouth　of　his　sack。　　
　2　并将我的银杯和那少年人籴粮的银子一同装在他的口袋里。家宰就照约瑟所说的话行了。


Then　put　my　cup；　the　silver　one；　in　the　mouth　of　the　youngest　one's　sack；　along　with　the　silver　for　his　grain。〃　And　he　did　as　Joseph　said。　　
　3　天一亮就打发那些人带着驴走了。


As　morning　dawned；　the　men　were　sent　on　their　way　with　their　donkeys。　　
　4　他们出城走了不远，约瑟对家宰说，起来，追那些人去，追上了就对他们说，你们为什么以恶报善呢？


They　had　not　gone　far　from　the　city　when　Joseph　said　to　his　steward；　〃Go　after　those　men　at　once；　and　when　you　catch　up　with　them；　say　to　them；　'Why　have　you　repaid　good　with　evil？　　
　5　这不是我主人饮酒的杯吗？岂不是他占卜用的吗？你们这样行是作恶了。


Isn't　this　the　cup　my　master　drinks　from　and　also　uses　for　divination？　This　is　a　wicked　thing　you　have　done。'〃　　
　6　家宰追上他们，将这些话对他们说了。


When　he　caught　up　with　them；　he　repeated　these　words　to　them。　　
　7　他们回答说，我主为什么说这样的话呢？你仆人断不能作这样的事。


But　they　said　to　him；　〃Why　does　my　lord　say　such　things？　Far　be　it　from　your　servants　to　do　anything　like　that！　　
　8　你看，我们从前在口袋里所见的银子，尚且从迦南地带来还你，我们怎能从你主人家里偷窃金银呢？


We　even　brought　back　to　you　from　the　land　of　Canaan　the　silver　we　found　inside　the　mouths　of　our　sacks。　So　why　would　we　steal　silver　or　gold　from　your　master's　house？　　
　9　你仆人中无论在谁那里搜出来，就叫他死，我们也作我主的奴仆。


If　any　of　your　servants　is　found　to　have　it；　he　will　die；　and　the　rest　of　us　will　bee　my　lord's　slaves。〃　　
　10　家宰说，现在就照你们的话行吧。在谁那里搜出来，谁就作我的奴仆。其余的都没有罪。


〃Very　well；　then；〃　he　said；　〃let　it　be　as　you　say。　Whoever　is　found　to　have　it　will　bee　my　slave；　the　rest　of　you　w
