Thus　saith　the　LORD；　Learn　not　the　way　of　the　heathen；　and　be　not　dismayed　at　the　signs　of　heaven；　for　the　heathen　are　dismayed　at　them。
10：3众民的风俗是虚空的。他们在树林中用斧子砍伐一棵树，匠人用手工造成偶像。
For　the　customs　of　the　people　are　vain：　for　one　cutteth　a　tree　out　of　the　forest；　the　work　of　the　hands　of　the　workman；　with　the　axe。
10：4他们用金银妆饰它，用钉子和锤子钉稳，使它不动摇。
They　deck　it　with　silver　and　with　gold；　they　fasten　it　with　nails　and　with　hammers；　that　it　move　not。
10：5它好像棕树，是镟成的，不能说话，不能行走，必须有人抬着。你们不要怕它。它不能降祸，也无力降福。
They　are　upright　as　the　palm　tree；　but　speak　not：　they　must　needs　be　borne；　because　they　cannot　go。　Be　not　afraid　of　them；　for　they　cannot　do　evil；　neither　also　is　it　in　them　to　do　good。
10：6耶和华阿，没有能比你的。你本为大，有大能大力的名。
Forasmuch　as　there　is　none　like　unto　thee；　O　LORD；　thou　art　great；　and　thy　name　is　great　in　might。
10：7万国的王阿，谁不敬畏你。敬畏你本是合宜的。因为在列国的智慧人中，虽有政权的尊荣，也不能比你。
Who　would　not　fear　thee；　O　King　of　nations？　for　to　thee　doth　it　appertain：　forasmuch　as　among　all　the　wise　men　of　the　nations；　and　in　all　their　kingdoms；　there　is　none　like　unto　thee。
10：8他们尽都是畜类，是愚昧的。偶像的训诲算什么呢。偶像不过是木头。
But　they　are　altogether　brutish　and　foolish：　the　stock　is　a　doctrine　of　vanities。
10：9有银子打成片，是从他施带来的，并有从乌法来的金子，都是匠人和银匠的手工，又有蓝色紫色料的衣服，都是巧匠的工作。
Silver　spread　into　plates　is　brought　from　Tarshish；　and　gold　from　Uphaz；　the　work　of　the　workman；　and　of　the　hands　of　the　founder：　blue　and　purple　is　their　clothing：　they　are　all　the　work　of　cunning　men。
10：10惟耶和华是真神，是活神，是永远的王。他一发怒，大地震动。他一恼恨，列国都担当不起。
But　the　LORD　is　the　true　God；　he　is　the　living　God；　and　an　everlasting　king：　at　his　wrath　the　earth　shall　tremble；　and　the　nations　shall　not　be　able　to　abide　his　indignation。
10：11你们要对他们如此说，不是那创造天地的神，必从地上从天下被除灭。
Thus　shall　ye　say　unto　them；　The　gods　that　have　not　made　the　heavens　and　the　earth；　even　they　shall　perish　from　the　earth；　and　from　under　these　heavens。
10：12耶和华用能力创造大地，用智慧建立世界，用聪明铺张穹苍。
He　hath　made　the　earth　by　his　power；　he　hath　established　the　world　by　his　wisdom；　and　hath　stretched　out　the　heavens　by　his　discretion。
10：13他一发声，空中便有多水激动。他使云雾从地极上腾。他造电随雨而闪，从他府库中带出风来。
When　he　uttereth　his　voice；　there　is　a　multitude　of　waters　in　the　heavens；　and　he　causeth　the　vapours　to　ascend　from　the　ends　of　the　earth；　he　maketh　lightnings　with　rain；　and　bringeth　forth　the　wind　out　of　his　treasures。
10：14各人都成了畜类，毫无知识。各银匠都因他雕刻的偶像羞愧。他所铸的偶像本是虚假的，其中并无气息，
Every　man　is　brutish　in　his　knowledge：　every　founder　is　confounded　by　the　graven　image：　for　his　molten　image　is　falsehood；　and　there　is　no　breath　in　them。
10：15都是虚无的，是迷惑人的工作。到追讨的时候必被除灭。
They　are　vanity；　and　the　work　of　errors：　in　the　time　of　their　visitation　they　shall　perish。
10：16雅各的分不像这些，因他是造作万有的主。以色列也是他产业的支派，万军之耶和华是他的名。
The　portion　of　Jacob　is　not　like　them：　for　he　is　the　former　of　all　things；　and　Israel　is　the　rod　of　his　inheritance：　The　LORD　of　hosts　is　his　name。
10：17受围困的人哪，当收拾你的财物，从国中带出去。
Gather　up　thy　wares　out　of　the　land；　O　inhabitant　of　the　fortress。
10：18因为耶和华如此说，这时候，我必将此地的居民，好像用机弦甩出去，又必加害在他们身上，使他们觉悟。
For　thus　saith　the　LORD；　Behold；　I　will　sling　out　the　inhabitants　of　the　land　at　this　once；　and　will　distress　them；　that　they　may　find　it　so。
10：19民说，祸哉。我受损伤。我的伤痕极其重大。我却说，这真是我的痛苦，必须忍受。
Woe　is　me　for　my　hurt！　my　wound　is　grievous：　but　I　said；　Truly　this　is　a　grief；　and　I　must　bear　it。
10：20我的帐棚毁坏。我的绳索折断。我的儿女离我出去，没有了。无人再支搭我的帐棚，挂起我的幔子。
My　tabernacle　is　spoiled；　and　all　my　cords　are　broken：　my　children　are　gone　forth　of　me；　and　they　are　not：　there　is　none　to　stretch　forth　my　tent　any　more；　and　to　set　up　my　curtains。
10：21因为牧人都成为畜类，没有求问耶和华，所以不得顺利。他们的羊群也都分散。
For　the　pastors　are　bee　brutish；　and　have　not　sought　the　LORD：　therefore　they　shall　not　prosper；　and　all　their　flocks　shall　be　scattered。
10：22有风声。看哪，敌人来了。有大扰乱从北方出来，要使犹大城邑变为荒凉，成为野狗的住处。
Behold；　the　noise　of　the　bruit　is　e；　and　a　great　motion　out　of　the　north　country；　to　make　the　cities　of　Judah　desolate；　and　a　den　of　dragons。
10：23耶和华阿，我晓得人的道路不由自己，行路的人也不能定自己的脚步。
O　LORD；　I　know　that　the　way　of　man　is　not　in　himself：　it　is　not　in　man　that　walketh　to　direct　his　steps。
10：24耶和华阿，求你从宽惩治我，不要在你的怒中惩治我，恐怕使我归于无有。
O　LORD；　correct　me；　but　with　judgment；　not　in　thine　anger；　lest　thou　bring　me　to　nothing。
10：25愿你将忿怒倾在不认识你的列国中，和不求告你名的各族上。因为他们吞了雅各，不但吞了，而且灭绝，把他的住处变为荒场。
Pour　out　thy　fury　upon　the　heathen　that　know　thee　not；　and　upon　the　families　that　call　not　on　thy　name：　for　they　have　eaten　up　Jacob；　and　devoured　him；　and　consumed　him；　and　have　made　his　habitation　desolate。

11：1耶和华的话临到耶利米说，
The　word　that　came　to　Jeremiah　from　the　LORD；　saying；
11：2当听这约的话，告诉犹大人和耶路撒冷的居民，
Hear　ye　the　words　of　this　covenant；　and　speak　unto　the　men　of　Judah；　and　to　the　inhabitants　of　Jerusalem；
11：3对他们说，耶和华以色列的神如此说，不听从这约之话的人必受咒诅。
And　say　thou　unto　them；　Thus　saith　the　LORD　God　of　Israel；　Cursed　be　the　man　that　obeyeth　not　the　words　of　this　covenant；
11：4这约是我将你们列祖从埃及地领出来，脱离铁炉的那日所吩咐他们的，说，你们要听从我的话，照我一切所吩咐的去行。这样，你们就作我的子民，我也作你们的神。
Which　I　manded　your　fathers　in　the　day　that　I　brought　them　forth　out　of　the　land　of　Egypt；　from　the　iron　furnace；　saying；　Obey　my　voice；　and　do　them；　according　to　all　which　I　mand　you：　so　shall　ye　be　my　people；　and　I　will　be　your　God：
11：5我好坚定向你们列祖所起的誓，给他们流奶与蜜之地，正如今日一样。我就回答说，耶和华阿，阿们。
That　I　may　perform　the　oath　which　I　have　sworn　unto　your　fathers；　to　give　them　a　land　flowing　with　milk　and　honey；　as　it　is　this　day。　Then　answered　I；　and　said；　So　be　it；　O　LORD。
11：6耶和华对我说，你要在犹大城邑中和耶路撒冷街市上，宣告这一切话说，你们当听从遵行这约的话。
Then　the　LORD　said　unto　me；　Proclaim　all　these　words　in　the　cities　of　Judah；　and　in　the　streets　of　Jerusalem；　saying；　Hear　ye　the　words　of　this　covenant；　and　do　them。
11：7因为我将你们列祖从埃及地领出来的那日，直到今日，都是从早起来，切切诰诫他们说，你们当听从我的话。
For　I　earnestly　protested　unto　your　fathers　in　the　day　that　I　brought　them　up　out　of　the　land　of　Egypt；　even　unto　this　day；　rising　early　and　protesting；　saying；　Obey　my　voice。
11：8他们却不听从，不侧耳而听，竟随从自己顽梗的恶心去行。所以我使这约中一切咒诅的话临到他们身上。这约是我吩咐他们行的，他们却不去行。
Yet　they　obeyed　not；　nor　inclined　their　ear；　but　walked　every　one　in　the　imagination　of　their　evil　heart：　therefore　I　will　bring　upon　them　all　the　words　of　this　covenant；　which　I　manded　them　to　do：　but　they　did　them　not。
11：9耶和华对我说，在犹大人和耶路撒冷居民中有同谋背叛的事。
And　the　LORD　said　unto　me；　A　conspiracy　is　found　among　the　men　of　Judah；　and　among　the　inhabitants　of　Jerusalem。
11：10他们转去效法他们的先祖，不肯听我的话，犯罪作孽，又随从别神，事奉它。以色列家和犹大家背了我与他们列祖所立的约。
They　are　turned　back　to　the　iniquities　of　their　forefathers；　which　refused　to　hear　my　words；　and　they　went　after　other　gods　to　serve　them：　the　house　of　Israel　and　the　house　of　Judah　have　broken　my　covenant　which　I　made　with　their　fathers。
11：11所以耶和华如此说，我必使灾祸临到他们，是他们不能逃脱的。他们必向我哀求，我却不听。
Therefore　thus　saith　the　LORD；　Behold；　I　will　bring　evil　upon　them；　which　they　shall　not　be　able　to　escape；　and　though　they　shall　cry　unto　me；　I　will　not　hearken　unto　them。
11：12那时，犹大城邑的人和耶路撒冷的居民要去哀求他们烧香所供奉的神。只是遭难的时候，这些神毫不拯救他们。
