27:14清晨起来,大声给朋友祝福的,就算是咒诅他。
He that blesseth his friend with a loud voice; rising early in the morning; it shall be counted a curse to him。
27:15大雨之日连连滴漏,和争吵的妇人一样。
A continual dropping in a very rainy day and a contentious woman are alike。
27:16想拦阻他的,便是拦阻风,也是右手抓油。
Whosoever hideth her hideth the wind; and the ointment of his right hand; which bewrayeth itself。
27:17铁磨铁,磨出刃来。朋友相感,(原文作磨朋友的脸)也是如此。
Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend。
27:18看守无花果树的,必吃树上的果子。敬奉主人的,必得尊荣。
Whoso keepeth the fig tree shall eat the fruit thereof: so he that waiteth on his master shall be honoured。
27:19水中照脸,彼此相符。人与人,心也相对。
As in water face answereth to face; so the heart of man to man。
27:20阴间和灭亡,永不满足。人的眼目,也是如此。
Hell and destruction are never full; so the eyes of man are never satisfied。
27:21鼎为炼银,炉为炼金,人的称赞也试炼人。
As the fining pot for silver; and the furnace for gold; so is a man to his praise。
27:22你虽用杵,将愚妄人与打碎的麦子一同捣在臼中,他的愚妄还是离不了他。
Though thou shouldest bray a fool in a mortar among wheat with a pestle; yet will not his foolishness depart from him。
27:23你要详细知道你羊群的景况。留心料理你的牛群。
Be thou diligent to know the state of thy flocks; and look well to thy herds。
27:24因为赀财不能永有。冠冕岂能存到万代。
For riches are not for ever: and doth the crown endure to every generation?
27:25乾草割去,嫩草发现,山上的菜蔬,也被收敛。
The hay appeareth; and the tender grass sheweth itself; and herbs of the mountains are gathered。
27:26羊羔之毛,是为你作衣服。山羊是为作田地的价值。
The lambs are for thy clothing; and the goats are the price of the field。
27:27有母山羊奶够你吃,也够你的家眷吃,且够养你的婢女。
And thou shalt have goats' milk enough for thy food; for the food of thy household; and for the maintenance for thy maidens。

28:1恶人虽无人追赶也逃跑,义人却胆壮像狮子。
The wicked flee when no man pursueth: but the righteous are bold as a lion。
28:2邦国因有罪过,君王就多更换。因有聪明知识的人,国必长存。
For the transgression of a land many are the princes thereof: but by a man of understanding and knowledge the state thereof shall be prolonged。
28:3穷人欺压贫民,好像暴雨冲没粮食。
A poor man that oppresseth the poor is like a sweeping rain which leaveth no food。
28:4违弃律法的,夸奖恶人。遵守律法的,却与恶人相争。
They that forsake the law praise the wicked: but such as keep the law contend with them。
28:5坏人不明白公义。惟有寻求耶和华的,无不明白。
Evil men understand not judgment: but they that seek the LORD understand all things。
28:6行为纯正的穷乏人,胜过行事乖僻的富足人。
Better is the poor that walketh in his uprightness; than he that is perverse in his ways; though he be rich。
28:7谨守律法的是智慧之子。与贪食人作伴的,却羞辱其父。
Whoso keepeth the law is a wise son: but he that is a panion of riotous men shameth his father。
28:8人以厚利加增财物,是给那怜悯穷人者积蓄的。
He that by usury and unjust gain increaseth his substance; he shall gather it for him that will pity the poor。
28:9转耳不听律法的,他的祈祷也为可憎。
He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law; even his prayer shall be abomination。
28:10诱惑正直人行恶道的,必掉在自己的坑里。惟有完全人,必承受福分。
Whoso causeth the righteous to go astray in an evil way; he shall fall himself into his own pit: but the upright shall have good things in possession。
28:11富足人自以为有智慧。但聪明的贫穷人,能将他查透。
The rich man is wise in his own conceit; but the poor that hath understanding searcheth him out。
28:12义人得志有大荣耀。恶人兴起人就躲藏。
When righteous men do rejoice; there is great glory: but when the wicked rise; a man is hidden。
28:13遮掩自己罪过的,必不享通。承认离弃罪过的,必蒙怜恤。
He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy。
28:14常存敬畏的,便为有福。心存刚硬的,必陷在祸患里。
Happy is the man that feareth alway: but he that hardeneth his heart shall fall into mischief。
28:15暴虐的君王辖制贫民。好像吼叫的狮子,觅食的熊。
As a roaring lion; and a ranging bear; so is a wicked ruler over the poor people。
28:16无知的君多行暴虐。以贪财为可恨的,必年长日久。
The prince that wanteth understanding is also a great oppressor: but he that hateth covetousness shall prolong his days。
28:17背负流人血之罪的,必往坑里奔跑,谁也不可拦阻他。
A man that doeth violence to the blood of any person shall flee to the pit; let no man stay him。
28:18行动正直的,必蒙拯救。行事弯曲的,立时跌倒。
Whoso walketh uprightly shall be saved: but he that is perverse in his ways shall fall at once。
28:19耕种自己田地的,必得饱食。追随虚浮的,足受穷乏。
He that tilleth his land shall have plenty of bread: but he that followeth after vain persons shall have poverty enough。
28:20诚实人必多得福,想要急速发财的,不免受罚。
A faithful man shall abound with blessings: but he that maketh haste to be rich shall not be innocent。
28:21看人的情面,乃为不好。人因一块饼枉法,也为不好。
To have respect of persons is not good: for for a piece of bread that man will transgress。
28:22人有恶眼想要急速发财,却不知穷乏必临到他身。
He that hasteth to be rich hath an evil eye; and considereth not that poverty shall e upon him。
28:23责备人的,后来蒙人喜悦,多于那用舌头谄媚人的。
He that rebuketh a man afterwards shall find more favour than he that flattereth with the tongue。
28:24偷窃父母的,说,这不是罪。此人就是与强盗同类。
Whoso robbeth his father or his mother; and saith; It is no transgression; the same is the panion of a destroyer。
28:25心中贪婪的,挑起争端。倚靠耶和华的,必得丰裕。
He that is of a proud heart stirreth up strife: but he that putteth his trust in the LORD shall be made fat。
28:26心中自是的,便是愚昧人。凭智慧行事的,必蒙拯救。
He that trusteth in his own heart is a fool: but whoso walketh wisely; he shall be delivered。
28:27周济贫穷的,不致缺乏。佯为不见的,必多受咒诅。
He that giveth unto the poor shall not lack: but he that hideth his eyes shall have many a curse。
28:28恶人兴起,人就躲藏。恶人败亡,义人增多。
When the wicked rise; men hide themselves: but when they perish; the righteous increase。

29:1人屡次受责罚,仍然硬着颈项,他必顷刻败坏,无法可治。
He; that being often reproved hardeneth his neck; shall suddenly be destroyed; and that without remedy。
29:2义人增多,民就喜乐。恶人掌权,民就叹息。
When the righteous are in authority; the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule; the people mourn。
29:3爱慕智慧的,使父亲喜乐。与妓女结交的,却浪费钱财。
Whoso loveth wisdom rejoiceth his father: but he that keepeth pany with harlots spendeth his substance。
29:4王藉公平,使国坚定。索要贿赂,使国倾败。
The king by judgment establisheth the land: but he that receiveth gifts overthroweth it。
29:5谄媚邻舍的,就是设网罗绊他的脚。
A man that flattereth his neighbour spreadeth a net for his feet。
29:6恶人犯罪,自陷网罗。惟独义人,欢呼喜乐。
In the transgression of an evil man there is a snare: but the righteous doth sing and rejoice。
29:7义人知道查明穷人的案。恶人没有聪明,就不得而知。
The righteous considereth the cause of the poor: but the wicked regardeth not to know it。
29:8亵慢人煽惑通城。智慧人止息众怒。
Scornful men bring a city into a snare: but wise men turn away wrath。
29:9智慧人与愚妄人相争,或怒,或笑,总不能使他止息。
If a wise man contendeth with a foolish man; whether he rage or laugh; there is no rest。
29:10好流人血的,恨恶完全人。索取正直人的性命。
The bloodthirsty hate the upright: but the just seek his soul。
29:11愚妄人怒气全发。智慧人忍气含怒。
A fool uttereth all his mind: but a wise man keepeth it in till afterwards。
29:12君王若听谎言,他一切臣仆都是奸恶。
If a ruler hearken to lies; all his servants are wicked。
29:13贫穷人,强暴人,在世相遇,他们的眼目,都蒙耶和华光照。
The poor and the deceitful man meet together: the LORD lighteneth both their eyes。
29:14君王凭诚实判断穷人,他的国位,必永远坚立。
